# Incoming referrals

> Find incoming referrals in Sigma HMIS Front Desk by client, clinic, or service, check their status, and start the visit with the right payment.

Incoming referrals in Front Desk lists clients referred to your clinic. Start the visit from the referral so it stays linked to the referring request.

    Open **Incoming referrals** and search by client, clinic, or service.

    Check the referral status before you continue.

    Start the visit from the referral and choose how it is paid.

  Do not register the client again if they are already on file.
