# Active visits

> Search open visits in Sigma HMIS Front Desk, open a visit, close it when care is finished, and reopen it if it was closed by mistake.

Active visits in Front Desk lists every open visit. Use it to find a visit, close it when care is finished, or reopen it.

  Visit automation does not create another visit for a client who already has an open visit.
